Social category affected the daily life of Egypt. This decided how a priest were living, what they had, and wherever they resided. They were the in the third highest level, after pharaoh and federal government officials, which will made all of them powerful. These were also extremely respected since they had extremely important jobs. Priests were generally men, yet there were several priestesses.

Generally, priests were seen while " the lord's servant”. All their main work was to care for the ay statues of gods and goddesses in the temples. These were the only kinds allowed to contact the figurines. Many priests were needed and they every had different jobs. Lector priests could read and copy almost holy books in the temple library. Hour priests watched the moon and stars to hep forecast the right time intended for festivals. " God's singers” played the harp and sang during services. Finally, the " ka priest” served the spirits in the dead. There are also numbers of priests. The high clergyman was equiped by the pharaoh and carried out the daily rituals for the king's account. They suggested the clergyman and oversaw all religious ceremonies. The " second prophet” or perhaps the " excessive priests' deputy” was responsible for temple property, staff, and business. The last level, part time priests, offered in the temples as porters, sacrificers, head gardeners, artists, scribes, and monitored the job of carpenters, and bakers. They also managed the more prevalent requests and concerns. Since there are so many priests who concentrate on different areas, they usually worked just one out of every 4 months. If they weren't carrying out their task, they were said to be role types and good citizens. That were there no expert to direct other people's actions though. One other way the social class affected a priest's life was that they had to follow along with a lot of rules. When they enter their particular job in the temples following their " break” they need to " ritually clean”. They have to wash themselves four times in cold water...
