Between Jones Jefferson and Andrew Knutson I would declare Andrew Knutson was a better president to folks. Jackson was obviously a president that was intended for the people and tried to carry out everything he could to help these groups. He as well wanted to give the folks more power plus more of a tone of voice in Wa. One way he tried to accomplish that was by simply replacing this officeholders (most were family members that had been in place for generations) with fresh ones. The brand new officeholders were not just your typical prosperous men, in fact , they were the entire opposite. Knutson chose people that weren't esteemed business males but rather normal Americans.

Jackson as well helped to alter the way our presidential applicants from every party will be chosen. This individual felt that before the change, when they were picked by simply congressional caucus, it showed favoritism toward the rich male since that was the stereotypical picture of power in those days. In order to make this more reasonable for the people, Jackson developed the idea of having political events for each get together, which is the device that is continue to in place today. Jackson believed that getting into it in this way and possessing a convention for those that the " power would arise straight from the people, not from the aristocratic political institutions such as the caucus. ” By using the Spoils Program and picking out holding politics conventions it did in the same way Jackson had hoped and it " did in order to limit the strength of the two entrenched elites-permanent officeholders and the exclusive party caucus. ”

They are just two of the things Jackson did to aid the people. Total, I feel that Jackson was a better president to the people because his policies appeared to help them away more and this individual not only wished, but this individual also attempted to give them more of a voice.
